The Little Gasparilla Island Preservation Alliance, Inc. is dedicated to safeguarding the natural beauty, environmental integrity, and financial interests of Little Gasparilla Island and its neighboring islands. We aim to protect and enhance our community by advocating for environmentally sound and financially sustainable solutions to infrastructure development, while fostering a strong sense of unity and collaboration among island residents. Our commitment extends to engaging in legal and educational efforts to ensure that the rights and interests of all homeowners are upheld and that future generations can continue to enjoy the unique character and natural splendor of our island.

Vertical Oyster Gardens!

VOGs

Islanders came together to construct vertical oyster grdens under the instruction of the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA). Oysters are incredible filtration systems that help keep our beautiful waters healthy and clean!

Approximately 150 oyster gardens were assembled and are now affixed to docks all over LGI.

The latest threat that was formed against our magical island was a proposed central low-pressure sewer system. We won that battle for the interest of all homeowners on Little Gasparilla Island and our neighboring islands. LGIPA remains committed to preserving the island's natural beauty, fostering a sense of community, and ensuring the financial security of its residents. With the support of the community and a stellar legal team, the LGIPA is moving forward with new initiatives, standing up for homeowners' rights and securing a future that is both environmentally and financially sustainable for generations to come.
